Aristotle Onassis' mega yacht, Christina, was, during it's christining, the most lavish, elaborate yacht ever to sail. During the 1950s, '60s and '70s Onassis hosted royalty, international leaders and celebreites while it anchored at various ports of call. For over 20 years, the notorious private yacht fell into neglect, but a recent renovation hopes to ensure the legacy of this world-renowned paradise is reinvented for a new audience. The floor of the pool is bordered in bronze and is inlaid with a mosaic copied exactly from the Palace of Knossos in ancient Crete. At the push of a button, the floor rose above the water to form a dance floor. Click on the photo below to read the rest of the history and current status of the Christina.
