What do these two characters have in common?
The Ever Lovable Pooh-Bear Brian Jones Kicking Christopher Robins Statue A.A. Milne, the author of the Winnie the Pooh series owned the estate that the founding member of the Rolling Stones, Brian Jones, later owned and died at. In fact, Brian met his untimely demise in the swimming pool at the estate 32 years ago this month. Photos of the pool are located below. Brian was an innovator and adopter of sound in early rock music. He played the sitar on the Stones hit, "Paint It Black;" the slide guitar on "Little Red Rooster;" and the mellotron on "2000 Light Years From Home." The Brian Jones Fan Club is raising money for a statue in his memory by selling the tiles that were on the pool at the time of his death. Click here for details.
